2008 Guest Writer's Wanted!

Do you have a passion for fantasy football?
Do the other members in your league(s) consider you the "resident" expert?
Have you ever felt strongly about a fantasy football topic and wanted access to a media site to express your thoughts?

If you can answer yes to the above questions, then Fantasy Football Trader is potentially interested in publishing your work.

What do I get as a guest writer?

Although we cannot make any promises, depending on your journalistic skills and resume, F.F.T. may be interested in paying you for your work.  As for the personal benefits of being a writer for Fantasy Football Trader:

  • You gain exposure among fantasy football enthusiasts to your articles and opinions.
  • Establish a loyal readership in the fantasy football community.
  • We will even post a link along with your name/company to give your own business/blog/website additional exposure.

What are the policies regarding guest writers and their submitted articles?

Fantasy Football Trader reserves the right to edit any submitted article in the event it is deemed necessary.  ALL submitted content becomes the property of Fantasy Football Trader with credit given to the author.  Neither Fantasy Football Trader nor our Guest Writer's are under any contractual obligations.  Either party is free to terminate the relationship at any time without prior notification and you can submit as many or as few articles as you wish.

It should be noted that we are more interested in obtaining at least monthly submissions from individuals than one-time pieces.  In fact, for the right person  a weekly column + payment wouldn't be out of the question.

How do I apply?

Pretty simple stuff.  We do not accept any syndicated content.  We expect your article submissions to be original thought and not published anywhere else.

We need your full name, URL and short description of your website/blog if applicable.  Please do not submit articles as attachments.  It would also help if you can submit a photo of yourself to go along with the article.

One final piece of advice for submissions.  We are looking for something above and beyond JUST your opinion (even if you are the most knowledgable FF player on the planet - others might not know it yet :)  Backing your opinions with stats/facts gives you credability as an author.  Your articles may be as many words as you like but if it takes you more than 7-10 minutes to read it - you should probaly break it into a "series" piece.

Other than that - feel free to submit any type of content you might be interested in.  Your personal cheat-sheet, player spotlight type articles, who to start/bench, or FF strategy.  We're looking forward to working with you!

Please e-mail all submissions to freelance@fantasyfootballtrader.com  We will generally be able to respond within 2-3 business days.
