Heading into his prime and with two consecutive solid seasons, there is no reason to think his numbers will decrease dramatically. If you are looking for upside, look elsewhere. But if you are into rock solid #3 fantasy receivers you won’t be disappointed. Temper your expectations as he is realistically the fourth option on his own team behind Andre Johnson, Steve Slaton, and Owen Daniels.

___
Unassuming wideout that has gone for at least 60 catches and 800 yards in consecutive years. Overshadowed by teammate Andre Johnson, Walter isn’t much of a big-play threat, but his steady hands make him a target in the red-zone. He probably won’t ever make it to the second tier of wideouts, but he’s a reliable No. 3 option.

___
Kevin Walter is the legitimate #2 WR in Houston. I think he is worthy of roster spot and starts based on matchups. I do not see his production going up as he actually had less targets than he had two years ago.

___
After four seasons of obscurity, (47 receptions, 456 yards, one TD combined) Walter broke out with 65/800/5 in 2007 and proved last year that wasn’t a fluke. This could be the ceiling for him but a year similar to 07’ should be expected.

___
Will be Mushin Muhammad-like in terms of stats (800-1000 yds, 6-8 touchdowns) for next
few years. Ideal #4 fantasy WR because of inconsistency thanks to Andre Johnson
(09' Proj: 70 rec, 850 yds, 6 touchdowns) ~Jon Rascon
___
Perfectly suited #4WR for your fantasy team. Unlike many of my cohorts, I'd rather not have Kevin Walter in my lineup every week – but a very solid bye week stand-in. Faded down the stretch last year when RB Steve Slaton emerged and there's only one football. Still, even a complimentary piece of an emerging offense holds value and Andre Johnson capable of missing time for spurts.

___
A poor man's Wes Welker, whose biggest value comes in point per rec. formats. Still, he will
likely outperform several more “well known” names and, even better, you should be able to
obtain him after the sixth round in most drafts. People go to jail for lesser crimes than that sort of theft.
