TED GINN JR TEAM TAKE

Surprised many by becoming a decent flex option in the middle of the 2008 season. Broke out in Week 8 with a 7-catch, 175-yard performance against Buffalo. Ginn simply wasn’t consistent enough in 2008 (seven games with 3 receptions or less) to warrant No. 2 consideration in 2009, but he does register as a nice sleeper option should he slip to the later rounds.

He improved in his sophomore campaign, increasing his receptions by 22 and yards by 370, but still only catching two touchdowns. There is the possibilty he could have that magical third year.  Assuming he can take the same baby steps this offseason as last, he could be a decent #3 WR in fantasy.

Instability at the quarterback position and a lack of playmakers surrounding him combined to sink the former Ohio State superstar's rookie season.  However, with Chad Pennington providing a consistent flow to the offense and with Ronnie Brown healthy for the full season, Ginn stepped things up nicely, improving his numbers in just about every area except for touchdowns.  Now that he's entering that vaunted "third year" for receivers, with the pieces in place around him, he ought to be able to achieve low end WR2 territory.

Broke out last season and emerged as the top deep threat on the Dolphins. He will continue to improve as his confidence and rapport with Pennington grows, hopefully Pennington can throw the ball deep enough to fully utilize his downfield presence. Needs more consistency before he will be considered a true #2 fantasy receiver. Draft as a #3 to start and wait…

It's a system in Miami right now and that's not a compliment for Ginn.  Had 5+ rec. in three of the first seven games.  From late-November on, started getting squeezed out by Davone Bess and Greg Camarillo.  If Ginn played with a rocket-armed QB and second fiddle to a premiere WR, he's capable of 80 catches and 8 tocuhdowns.  Since neither of those are present in Miami it's more of the same, and if you're looking for a third year WR to make a leap you need to move along now.  Wouldn't mind rostering him as a #4WR and hope to catch lightning in a bottle for one or two bye weeks.

Ginn Jr will be entering his third season, where wideouts have been known to break out. A player that did improve his stats in his second year, almost doubling his yardage from his rookie season. With Pennington at the helm, Ginn Jr. will have a quarterback that can help him become a more consistent receiver, even if the long plays downfield are few and far between. He’ll be value as a No. 3 wide receiver.
