White is exactly what I love in a receiver, a guy who betters his stats from the previous season and he has done it in each of his four years. He proved last season was no fluke and he and Matt Ryan are about to become one of the best QB/WR pairs in the league. I look for White to once again set career marks in 09’.

Call me crazy, but dare I say White may be a tad overrated heading into next season. He was spectacular last year with 1,382 yards and a respectable 7 touchdowns, but White only had one touchdown over the final seven games. His value goes up a little in ppr leagues, but with quarterback Matt Ryan revealing a short learning curve, he may not have to "hook" onto one wide receiver for long.

Cemented himself as one of the league’s best receivers by following his breakout season in 2007 (83 receptions, 1202 yards, 5 touchdowns) with a Pro-Bowl season in 2008 (88, 1382, 7). Ranked eighth in the NFL with 149 targets. White’s size is the biggest factor preventing him from becoming an elite option; he isn’t an immediate red-zone threat like Brandon Marshall, Andre Johnson and other large receivers.

Stan just mentioned a big reason why I'm loving me some Roddy again in '09. Those 149 targets symbolize the fact that he's as involved in Atlanta's offense as any other receiver in the league. He caught 59% of his targets and that's a number that should continue creeping upward as Matt Ryan becomes more savvy at reading defenses. I'm a little shy about predicting a fifth straight uptick in stats for the young receiver, only because Michael Turner had a career year. Nothing wrong with that – I'm just saying. I think '08 was best case scenario until A) Ryan is more seasoned and B) another receiving option comes along for Hotlanta that a defense respects.

White was in the top ten in catches and yards last season, therefore he will not be flying under the radar anymore in fantasy drafts. Still improving and will continue to gel with Matt Ryan to make one of the most fearsome duos in the NFL for years to come. A legitimate #1 fantasy wideout with upside, watch for his touchdown total to reach double digits this upcoming season.

A bona-fide star at this point, White's ceiling is virtually unlimited now that he has a talented quarterback in Matt Ryan to work with for years to come. He will likely improve upon his touchdown total from last season (7) and will then be a major threat in all formats (PPR and touchdown-only included). Expect White to be among the top five WR's to come off the board at your next draft.
