GREG JENNINGS TEAM TAKE

Established himself as the top dog in Green Bay, setting career-highs in receptions (80), yards (1292) and targets (125). With owners’ fears about quarterback Aaron Rodgers answered last season, Jennings will assuredly be one of the first ten receivers off the board, if not one of the first five. Though health is a concern with him, expect a Pro-Bowl caliber season as Jennings and Rodgers continue to develop their rapport.

This guy is emerging a great NFL wide receiver. I wouldnʼt be surprised if he is in our top-five in 2009.  Aaron Rodgers loves to throw Jennings the ball.  The Packers love to throw the ball, which equals bona fide stud.

One phrase accurately sums up Jennings' monster '08 season: "No Brett, no problem." As it turns out, anyone who was concerned that the quarterback switch from Brett Favre to Aaron Rodgers would affect Jennings' numbers worried needlessly as he posted career highs in both receptions and yardage. He's just about to enter his prime and, as long as he remains healthy, there's no telling how productive he can be.

He’s the #1 receiving option in a throw-first offense and he’s in a contract year. Oh yeah, and he was third in the NFL in yards/catch among those with at least 60 grabs with over 16 yds per. Pretty easy. Draft him as a #1 wideout and enjoy the production.

Jennings solidified himself as Rodgers top wideout for the foreseeable future last year, and there is no reason to think he won’t have another solid year. Depending on how your draft unfolds, Jennings, through no fault of his own, may see himself become some team’s No. 2 wideout as guys like Reggie Wayne, Randy Moss and Braylon Edwards (all of which had lesser seasons than Jennings last year) could all sneak back ahead of him come draft day. If he falls to you late in the third round, don’t think twice about drafting this playmaker, even if it means getting your No. 2 running back on the flipside.

Jennings is coming off a highly underrated 2008. However, 2008 was the first year he appeared in all 16 games. I'm not dinging him for production, but I'm also not ruling out a slight regression due to injury.

I'm here with my hand held high among those that Frank was talking about above.  I was concerned about Packers pretty much across the board last year and take a big part of the blame for why our readers missed out on both Rodgers and Jennings.  Hey, if we're going to toot our own horn on the accomplishments, we also need to stand up to the epic failures.  Enough about us.  Nine WR's had more catches, five had more yards and 7 had more touchdowns than Greg Jennings last year.  His catches and yardage both climbed substantially in his second and third seasons.  Turning 26 just after the season starts, Greg Jennings is aging like a fine wine and just now enters the money years.  After the big three (Fitz, Calvin and Andre Johnson) there's nobody I'd rather have.
