CHRIS JOHNSON TEAM TAKE

Johnson exploded onto the scene last year as a rookie and showed there is no substitute for electric speed. A member of the real "Smash and Dash" (sorry, Williams and Stewart you are now known to me as Identity and Theft) with LenDale White, Johnson is one of the few guys where you give him a crease, and he'll house it everytime. In dynasty leagues, there are few safer bets than Johnson.

Well, he's my third ranked RB in dynasty ball so if you're looking for an argument against, I suggest you keep scrolling.  Yes, I'll fully admit I may be jumping the gun on him, given the fact that he's a few biscuits shy of ideal size (5'11 and 200 lbs) but weight can be added.  What won't be subtracted anytime soon however, is sub 4.4 speed, overlooked patience in traffic and the hip wiggle to beat almost any one-on-one situation he encounters on the outside.  Electric running back with a bright future.  I'll stop here because my fellow dynasty leaguers are regular readers.

We've all seen how explosive he is and what he can brings, and that's why he's a No. 2 Fantasy RB in 2009 (assuming he's still giving up goal-line carries to LenDale White).  Worth a Top 15 to 20 draft pick.

Possibly the fastest running back in the NFL with good instincts inside and outside the tackles. Johnson’s stellar rookie season (1488 total yards, 43 receptions, 10 touchdowns, a Pro-Bowl invitation) keyed the Titans’ surprising playoff run. A boom-or-bust player in 2008 (six games with 18+ FFP, six games with 8 or less FFP), expect him to gain consistency as well as touches in 2009.

Outstanding rookie year and will only get better. Unmatched speed and once he gets to the second level of the defence he is gone. Potential to find paydirt on every touch, an excellent dynasty keeper. A #1 fantasy back already.

The Titans...and fantasy owners who selected him...hit the jackpot with this kid.  Johnson's blazing speed helped him rack up 1,228 yards and nine touchdowns, even while playing in a timeshare with Lendale White.  The fact that his carries are somewhat limited is irrelevant because, for one thing, he has that rare ability to score anytime he touches the ball and, for another, the practice will continue to keep him fresh throughout the season.
